Shattering Windows

Knock Your Socks off
The explosion
To test at which point does socks stop getting knocked off and the survivability rate

While filming the myth of attempting to test the validity of being able to knock someone's socks off by using an explosion as they claimed that people had their clothes torn off by an explosion and still survived but instead they successfully shattered windows in a nearby town of Yolo county while setting off a 500 pound explosive to test that.
(side fact: their test showed that although the socks was blown off, nobody could have survived that)

Although there were some damages, one particular resident was actually found it fun and that resident also had her windows shattered, quite rare to actually find people so sporting even though they were affected by the incident and was not informed beforehand. In fact the explosion was so strong, residents thought an airplane crashed nearby while some though that a house exploded. The rest of the report can be seen here.

Personally i feel that the resident is extremely forgiving or sporting as i doubt i myself will be able to maintain a smile when i find out that my windows has been smashed due to some explosion that i was not informed about beforehand.

  1. Seems like the damages done are not minor ones. They sound serious, with plane crashed and windows shattered. Would you be as sporting as the residents if you are the one living nearby and you happen to be affected or even, injured?

    1. Maybe depends on the degree of damage caused, but when it comes to having holes in the wall of my house like my earlier post from the cannonball. I doubt i can be as sporting given how much inconvenience it will cause.

    1. Accidents rarely happen in their show, least ones that are publicized. Next week's one won't be on such a large scale anymore.

  3. I think they used a little too much explosives on this one. Maybe a smaller one would have been sufficient to knock a person's socks off without killing him/her?

    1. Perhaps so, they tend to go overboard with explosives i think. The bigger the better maybe.

I won't let you come near my house! haha! Kidding bro! anyway, why is there such a test like this anyway???? Dude, if my windows were shattered, you got to deal with my grandmother. Now, she's the ultimate terror!

    1. When they attempt to test a myth, they usually do it within "normal" limits but when all else fail, that's when they go crazy with all these explosions. Maybe to make the show interesting too. Anyways thanks for your response!
